brotha i know hip hop rap does not represent all of black masculinity, sadly that is mostly the IMAGE that is portrayed, as what most black men are like, look like etc...that's the image that other groups have and see about an average black man....either that or a some other negative image... when folks that are non black see rapper is mostly negative connotations , regardless if that particular rapper is a so called gangsta or not.
