Nah

If anything that would make rap even more juvenile. We actually need more adults in this shyt and less gangbanging psychopatic teeneage serial killers

Who aint even old or mature enough to understand the scope of what they are actually saying or doing.
Yep. And Kwame agrees. He just used a clickbait title for engagement.

Most rappers peak after 30. Kendrick and Drake are now pushing almost 40 with no young nikkaz under 30 to pick up the mantle.

Norfeast groovin…
I think the deeper conversation to be had is how long is Hip Hop/Rap going to have this undisputed position in Black music? Prior to this, Black people were constantly creating new music forms and pushing the boundaries but if I’m honest part of the issue with Rap rn is that an alternative hasn’t come about to spark new innovation. Unless I missed something?

The gibberish that get's called rap would be a completely different genre but rap is way too prevalent (and profitable) to splinter off and say well this isn't really Hip Hop/rap. They just dilute the shyt rather than starting something new.

I remember Lil Uzi saying something about not really liking rap, but white people won't let him be a rock and roll star...this shyt is a racket. There will be no innovation til it stops being solely about keeping the money train going.
