I miss the days where nikkas would actually get on the booth and actually duke it out on wax. So many classic and memorable moments were created and it also gave rappers a serious chance to flex skills that they really didn't think they had.

This whole Twitter/FB beefing and ranting shyt today is a reflection of how alot of these crop of rappers today really are skillset wise. It aint shyt to get on a computer or a Smart phone and air your grievances within 120 characters but it takes a alot to flip those grievances into clever wordplay, vicious punchlines and being on guard incase your opponent comes with something harder. It doesn't only effect the music but it also makes the rappers look like certified punks and its easy to either delete a tweet they didnt mean or claim they were "hacked" and they post up in the studio posting a cotdamn selfe with another nikka because they can't face up to the heat.

I swear i just now logged in to make a similar thread. The actual music has become background noise. All we care about now is the gossip, drama, beefs and what ridiculous outfits they're wearing. Hiphop was better when there was a sense of "mystique" around rappers. When we knew little about their personal lives. Now we know how corny most of these cats really are ie: joe budden, wale, kanye, nicki. This goes for the entertainment biz period, not just rap. Everytime i hear a Robin Thicke song i cant help but to think that he's really an alcoholic thot. I cringe when i hear Chris Brown singing about love cuz....well we all know bout Chris

I was totally with twitter if they used it as a outlet to gain new fans and even communicate them. But all of this beefing shyt and then deleting tweets is just making the culture look silly. Not just hip hop but society today.
