what DMX said here always haunts me

"bytches wanna give me head for free, cuz they see,
who I'mma be by like 2003"

and truly in 2003 X was at the top of his career:whoo:

No he wasnt.

yes he was

In 2003 dmx wasn't at the top of his game, nobody thinks that.

I'm crying at X being at the top of his game in 2003 when he was already trending downward in 2001.

X's height was 98-2000. 2003 is when he started fading. And in 2001/2002 he took a back seat to Jay, and Nas in nyc.

Dmx was no where the top of the game in 03

The Great Depression was released at the end of 2001 (October) and went 3 TIMES PLATINUM which is more than Jay-Z's Blueprint till this day

In 2002/2003 he was filming/starring in the movies Exit Wounds and Cradle 2 The Grave

He had a #1 Platinum Album at the end of 2003 with Grand Champ with two hit singles

VERDICT

DMX WAS VERY MUCH A FACTOR IN THE EARLY 2000's (2000-2005) THE DECLINE WAS RELATIVE TO THE HIGHS HE HAD, BUT HE WAS STILL A SUPERSTAR.

Stop the madness.

I never said he was at the top of his career. :stopitslime:

My quote shows he was at the top 99-2002. I merely said he was still a factor. Dont be ignorant, the facts are out there.
Why would u quote us if we commenting on dude saying X was at the top of his career in 03 then?

Save all the rest of that fam, we all said he wasn’t at the top, that’s all

I quoted everyone because some said he was no where near the top and some said he was the top, both arguments were not entirely true.

It was middle ground, he was still in the upper echelon of music.

Grand Champ was released in 2003, not 2001. 50 Cent has been in movies and shows too, how hot is he musically? You sir really need to stop the madness. DMX’s peak years were 98-01, and honestly he peaked 98/99. Eminem just sold a bunch. Do you think this is his peak too?

my mistake, I meant the Great Depression. Either ways, I clearly said he was at the top in 2001. I concluded my post saying he was still a factor in 2003, NOT that he was in his prime. Why would i mention "the decline"? if he was in his prime?

Jay's whole corporate takeover freestyle

Operation: Takeover Corporate
Makeover offices-es-es then takeover all of it
Please may these words be recorded
To serve as testimony that I saw it all before it
Came to fruition, sort of a premonition
Uncontrollable hustler's ambition

TIME's most influential, was impressive
'Specially since I wasn't in the artist section
Had me with the builders and the titans
Had me right with Rupert Murdoch
Billionaire boys and some dudes you never heard of
Word up on Madison Ave is I'm a cash cow
Word down on Wall Street, homie, you get the cash out

If you succeed, prepare to be crucified
Media meddles, nikkas sue you, you settle
Every step you take, they remind you you ghetto

He has spoke a lot of shyt into existence
Greatest freestyle ever imo
