Isnt portland on the wert coast?

Yes but it’s considered Pacific Northwest and has a completely different culture so people don’t consider it “The West” from a Hip Hop perspective. If you look on a map? Yeah it’s the West Coast but it ain’t really considered the same as Cali.

So pretty much if your favorite rapper reps Atlanta, they aren't from there. What are some others?

Where you're born and where you're from is two different things.

When I was in the Air Force I would never tell people I was from Long Beach, I would say Los Angeles because EVERYBODY knows where LA is. So of course an international superstar is gonna say “I’m from ATL” cuz no one knows or cares where the fukk willacoochie,GA is.
Onemicistan or Oochiewally, FL?

Above the fray.
Krs-One was from Brooklyn.

I forget the song, but it might have been "We in There". At the end of the song, his brother Kenny Parker is shouting out Brooklyn, while Kris is shouting out the Bronx.

Kenny does YT videos now, and he was a basketball player who starred for Lincoln High School. Which is where Stephon Marbury went. Don't know when Kris left and moved into the shelter system, but he grew up in Brooklyn.
