Black Milk: I really enjoy Tronic. I bought Album of the Year and didn't like it on the first few listens. It is better than I gave it credit for but I didn't even check his latest. I always liked his beats more than his raps.
Danny Brown: Really rocked with XXX. Everything after that, I didn't even care to listen. He just lost me.
Elzhi: Everything up to the Preface was good money. I didn't like ELmatic at all and couldn't even tell you if he's dropped anything during the interim.
Evidence: Slept on Step Brothers and don't see that changing.
Fashawn: I don't know what this dude is doing. Boy Meets World is spectacular but all those Grizzly mixtapes and Champagne & Styrofoam cups and the Murs collaboration album weren't anything special. I heard he's still working with Exile for The Ecology but who knows.
Atmosphere: Stopped listening after the To All My Friends, Blood Makes The Blade Holy album. Too much "Dad Rap".
Kanye West: I never felt MBDTF like that and Yeezus was the final nail in the coffin. There were some great songs marred by questionable sonic decisions.
K'naan: I don't know what happened to duke but he switched his whole style and I couldn't rock with it.
Little Brother: The album after GetBack doesn't exist to me.
Rapper Big Pooh: None of his solo works have grabbed me like Sleepers did.
Phonte: After going full R&B and with Charity Starts At Home not hitting like I wanted, I just wish they hadn't broken up.
Pacific Division (Pac Div): Remember these guys?
The Cool Kids: They were dope together but Mikey Rocks ain't hitting solo and well, they just need to get back together. The When Fish Ride Bicycles album was terrible.
Pharoahe Monch: I gotta give PTSD more listens but I'm not feeling it and I wasn't too hot on WAR.
The Roots: Stopped listening after HIGO. I rock with every album before that heavy.
Sean Price: Didn't like the last joint. Didn't resonate like Money Barz and Jesus Price Supastar.
Shad: That last album was a dud. I'll have to revisit it because he's an exceptional rapper.
Wale: Stopped listening after Attention Deficit. I really like that album.
Mr. Muthafukkin eXquire: Lost me after Kismet's release. Wasn't feeling the one before it (Man In The Castle) and took too long for the first album. I lost me interest.
Flatbush Zombies: Really enjoyed DRUGS. The next one, not so much.
Add on.
