Dope song and video. They filmed that at Elmo’s Diner in Durham in 2011. Dope spot to eat. I just went there last week. I wish Halo could’ve made the video shoot because his verse was dope.

Full joint below. Khrysis on the beat.

I'll never understand what people saw in him:snoop:
I’m not the biggest fan but I can give you my take. The dude went from a goofy frat boy rapper into taking heavy drugs and actually become pretty creative. He did improve as an emcee, became maybe not the world’s dopest producer, but at least a respectable one. And he made a lot of honest and open music about problems that everyday people could relate to. Again whether you like his music or not...that’s the lane he got into.

And perhaps the biggest reason he gets props is just because (and I used to A&R so I can vouch for this) everyone in the industry loved him. Peers. Rappers. Singers. Producers. Road managers. A&Rs. Execs. Everyone. I promise he’s one of your favorite rapper’s or producer’s favorite people.

He treated everyone like they were the only person in the world, and he’d go out of his way to remember names and details about people’s lives that had nothing to offer him. He was a very kind-hearted guy.

They say you can tell a lot about someone by how they treat those that can’t do anything for them. By that measure, Mac had a really strong character and was a great person.

I’ve never been a fan fan of his music, and I actually don't like a lot of it (Faces is a dope project though) but I do appreciate him as an artist and I think the world would be a slightly better place with him in it...as corny as that sounds.

Yeah I was never interested in him from the jump. But he actually made one of the more noticeable leaps as a Hip Hop creative that I can remember in a long while. It didn't really click for me til The Divine Feminine.
