Yeah pretty much. His potential was unlimited. He could have been the GOAT..but he didnt. and hes not.

Only good thread you made your entire life Court.
As a physical specimen, he was the Lebron James of Boxing, having a mans body by the age of 15
As for this video, here's a short version of the fight he was training for...
EDIT: The video I posted didn't even show the fightBut I found this video which I'm dying off of right now.
I knew about this, seen interviews/etc. But now that I'm older, its much more hilarious than I remembered it...

I agree for the most part but I think 19-20 yr old Mike could potentially beat anybody
Its possible. But we really wont ever know. Thats why i get thewhen people call him the GOAT.
You cant be the GOAT off potential.

Why not? All GOAT talk (especially) in boxing is purely hypothetical. In his prime Tyson was destroying nikkas.
Obviously Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson have more accomplishments tho
Mike is my all time favorite and you are absolutely right.
i mean overall, not just on this forum, but the general consenus about mayweather being the best in the world POUND FOR POUND, like really?
if thats the case stick him in there with either klitschko (sp)
I agree. I'm just saying that no matter who you say is the GOAT it can be debated. Especially in boxing.Because he has such a small body of work. Any other person in the discussion for "GOAT" has a resume of such..proof. All we have of Tyson is him KOing a lot of inferior competition and some dope training videos.
Yes dude was a phenom
Yes dude was fukking scary
Yes dude could have KOd a lot of ATGs
His career is one big "What if" and one cannot be the GOAT without proving something.
I hope nobody was mistaken my critisism for hate because Mike is one of my favorite fighters too. I'm legit sad that we could never see him reach his full potential. It just wasnt in the cards for him i suppose. But we cant look at Mike and call him the GOAT, when you have dudes such as Ali,SRR mentioned as the greatest. One thing is not like the other there.
