Blasphemy, the collaborative album from esteemed Mello Music Group producer Apollo Brown and Ras Kass, is a thought-provoking and highly personal treatise on the unspoken. No “ism” is out of bounds, no topic too untoward. Whatever you hold sacred isn’t above aggressive inquiry. The album displays their undeniable synergy. When Ras Kass crucifies supposed facts over Apollo’s beats, it’s clear he is the West Coast’s preeminent philosopher. When Apollo’s blaring suites soothe your soul, it’s an ontological fact that he ranks among the best producers in the game. With Blasphemy, the duo has delivered the truth. The new album comes out October 28th on Mello Music Group.

oh boy....

I always wondered why producers don't do albums with older cats. Like if you were an up and coming underground producer, doing an album with Rakim or AZ would benefit you (assuming you could convince them to do the album with you). This is the second time Apollo Brown has done a project with a great older artist (OC last time).

btw his album with Hassan Mackey is my favorite project of his.

His joint with the Journalist, 103 and DJ Soko is my favorite followed by Trophies.

Ras needs to spit that provocative shyt, thats when he sounds inspired and most effective. his delivery been lagging lately so hopefully apollo is checking him on that.

Agreed totally. Theres that song from the Barmaggeddon mixtape w/ MK Asante & Bishop Lamont. You can Tell he was in his zone. Certain songs i dont know man like you said it like his flow be missing that extra umph.
