I was a fan, but obviously he lost us all along the way. I'm not gonna watch him rehash it in another video, I already know his point of view and its even dumber to be holding onto it 20 years later. I just came in here to say that its crazy to me to think that this bitter ass dork coulda gotten TWENTY YEARS worth of classic beats from Al if he had been understanding and kept a working relationship. Beats that woulda fit him better than 'Home Sweet Home' did too, cuz that beat didnt even really make sense for the way he approached it on that track. Whereas Jada & Styles made it a classic. And he probably could have flipped that little situation into a gang of free beats if he had played his cards right. Instead he chose to be offended and pick a fight and burn relationships.

Really fukked off 20 years worth of Alchemist bangers tho, thats crazy when you look back at it.

but based on the way he's turned out he'd just be wasting most of em anyway. I love love love 'Soul On Ice' and all the remixes and the unreleased tracks from back then, and all his collabs from that era. Underrated classic amazing shyt, deserves all praise. But since then, its just been disappointment and wasted potential. Never following thru with the Xzibit & Saafir group was still probably the biggest disappointment to me tho, cant believe they really wasted that whole opportunity, that could have been LEGENDARY. especially had it been laced with Alchemist production too?!?!?!!! Damn... what a waste.

I remember back when Home Sweet Home first dropped, I was like "Ras finally got a hit" smh

BTW I wonder if Dizaster and Lush are trying to get him to battle

Didn't watch but even after the beat fiasco with Alchemist dude caught multiple DUIs, his career wasn't going anywhere regardless of who gave him beats.

Everyone acting like Ras is rehashing this shyt ad nauseum, remember he gets asked about this almost every interview, especially as Alchemist gets more popular. He and Al squashed it over a decade ago.

I remember at the time on SOHH some clowns swore up and down that Home Sweet Home was better than We Gonna Make It :mjlol:

Ras used to be one of my favorite rappers but honestly his whole career post-Soul on Ice has been a massive let down. Such a crazy waste of talent.
