Interesting. It’s sickening to watch them suffer like that. But I understand.
On a side note, it is clear they don’t communicate well with themselves via sound. You would think the others would have known to stand back when the first starting squealing. But then, maybe they did hear the squeal and tried to help by jumping head first. Which would mean that they do communicate via sound. Which is great. Because if that is really true, you can record different sounds of rats in agony. And play them at a loud enough frequency to instill enough fear in nearby rats and rodents to keep them far away from your place. That’ll be a lot cleaner than a trap containing rats.
