Other than some decent festivals, and some good restaurants this place hardly has any redeeming qualities. The women are ugly, its dirty, crime is rampant, it's expensive for no reason, traffic is unbearable...I can go on all day.
I give it a 3 and that's being generous

I have a strong love hate with Baltimore. It's not the safest place but real estate is cheap and folks from Baltimore stay on code more than any other BP I have ever seen. They have codes to the streets and people actually stick to them. This is hard. Imma give Baltimore an 8. I wouldn't live there but if I had the money I would put a lot there, specifically Baltimore City not the county.

Basically took the words out my mouth.

i always think of Baltimore as a smaller Philly with less of the “highlights” or touristy stuff.

But a few of my closest friends are from there and they good people.

Yup people from Baltimore are generally good salt of the earth folks. It's weird, even the WP are different there. The attorney general for the city of Baltimore also announced they won't file charges on anyone in the city of Baltimore for possession of weed no matter the amount or previous charges. The code in Baltimore is ridiculous.

10 all day but of course I’m biased

I’ll be honest this city isn’t for everybody. It isn’t all that pretty. The infrastructure and schools suck. It’s cheap to live here but the taxes are high. But the people and food are A1 here. I hate to brag but we cool as shyt. Plus we got the highest % of black owned businesses in the country. Don’t sleep on us. But then again that’s how we like it

Plus our location is the goat. 45 min from DC. 90 min from Philly. A little over 3 hours from NYC. The beach is a couple hours to the east and the mountains are a couple hours to the west. It’s a rough town but it definitely has its beautiful areas and is one of the most historic cities in the country. This was a slave state but Baltimore had the highest number of free blacks. The only majority black city that’s bigger is Detroit. My roots are here and I ain’t leaving unless I have to

Honestly this post sums it up pretty well. The upside in Bmore is crazy. Just for the fact that it's on the NE corridor makes it an interesting play. Baltimore also used to be on of America's most important and largest cities way back when. My folks got property in Bmore so we're hoping what happened to property prices in DC happens to Bmore as well.

I give Baltimore a 6 for where it's at now, but an 8 for where it could be. Outside of the Inner Harbour and a few other places, there's not a terrible amount of things to do. But you can live downtown for pretty cheap. City needs to clean up though.

10. Baltimore is home, I was born and raised here... and this me being bias.

Baltimore is one of the most underrated cities in the country. A city with 240 distinct neighborhoods, many with their own cultures. Some of the best and most diverse architecture in the country. Also a city with a lot of history that goes unnoticed even by the locals. There is PLENTY to do in Baltimore that, again, even the locals don't know about. There is very little that can be done in another city that can not be done in Baltimore. The nightlife in Baltimore is very underrated. Neighborhoods like Federal Hill have to shut down at nights on the weekends because there are so many people out partying; similar situation in Fells Point, Canton, parts of Downtown.
Baltimore has one of the fastest growing downtown populations in the country as well, as seen my the construction/conversions of new apartments, and high absorption levels. People from Baltimore are the coolest people you'll ever meet as there is a certain modesty that we have, and i think that is due to its blue collar roots, and possibly poor self image. Oh, and no city can make a crab cake like Baltimore can.

With all that being said, Baltimore is ran by some of the dumbest people on the planet, which says a lot about the people who keep voting for them. The last 3 mayors have resigned for either being corrupt, or jist flat out being dumb as fukk. Baltimore was on the right track prior to the Freddie Gray Riot: The population had grown for the first time in 64 years, The murder rate was the lowest it has been since the 70s, more companies were investing in the city thinking is was finally turning the corner head in the right direction.... And we fukked it up. Baltimore always gets in its own way. The Crime here is horrendous, like how the fukk do you get best up and robbed right by police headquarters? How is the biggest tourist attraction, the place bring the most money also the place were random people are getting attacked by groups of teens?? How the fukk is the murder rate so high here, yet going down in just about every other major city in the country?? They can't can do ANYTHING right. Ignorance is rewarded in Baltimore, or at the very lest, ignorance is accepted. Traffic is getting worse by the day, the Governor doesn't give a fukk about Baltimore, he's only cares about the DC area.

Im not even done yet...

To be continued :demonic::birdman:
