One of the most important cities for AfrAm music. Even when most of the south was dead musically Stax was still holdin it dyne pumping out records. Always wanted to visit beale st.

Memphis is like what Jackson MS SHOULD'VE been. It's more like a big MS delta city than a TN city like Nashville.

H town and Memphis rock.

(Never been so I'm not gone vote.)

I used to live in Memphis, folks moved there when I was 3, then we came back to Illinois when I was 17. Haven't been in Memphis for awhile though. My uncle stay strapped, not sure where he lives

From what I can say, Memphis has been on a decline ever since I left. Liberty Land, yes the city had it's own theme park, was torn down. Beal Street gets wild at night and not the good type of wild, see the First 48. All the apartment complexes I used to live at Kings Gate, James bridge, Coventry, etc. all went to shyt. Mall of Memphis gone.

I'll always represent Memphis and Chicago though

Side Note: San Diego only like 6% black, how'd it get so high?

A lot of people love San Diego because it's a chill and relaxed place but it is surprising that it's ranked higher then LA.

Memphis is a 5 tops...

Haven't been since my grandmother's funeral in July 2017 and probably be a long time before I go again...

Caveat has to be mentioned again that I'm not a big fan of the South, but Memphis holds a soft spot in my heart...

I lived in Memphis for one year when I was in 8th grade, and been many times otherwise as my stepmom is kinda from there (she grew up in Upstate NY but went to high school in Memphis)...

Way too southern, some very alarming race relations and income equality, large black poverty, and in a nation of bad public schooling MPS is amongst the worst...

There really isn't a lot to do there. Subpar shopping and luxury dining. Local cuisine is top tier though, Memphis BBQ is GOAT...

Filthy hot in summer, disrespectful insect life. Liberty Land and Peabody Place were dope back in the day, so was the Mall Of Memphis...

Memphis has its charms because I've lived there and know the locals. But it isn't an exciting place to live, is hella conservative, doesn't have a lot of great neighborhoods, and is hella suburban an impoverished....

Nobody actually thinks SD is a better city than LA unless they are anti-LA (bias against LA)...

I just asked my aunt if she's been, because I've never been. She said its "LA-lite", which is not the first time I've heard that...
