The lack of charm is once you leave The Strip though, LV neighborhoods largely have no gravitas, no pull. They are largely homogenous and much of the city is suburban, dusty, there's nothing interesting to look at...
I've enjoyed the experience, I've been twice since I've been out here in Utah. It isn't an unpleasant experience, but unless LV is your first big city venture or one if few, its hard to fathom anyone's socks blown off. It's okay. I give it a 5.5. Average. Definitely not above average...
