I'll say this, I've noticed Raleigh and Charlotte seem to be growing at similar very high rates with transplants coming from all over but I've noticed black people in particular gravitate to Charlotte and seem to view it on a much more desirable level than Raleigh where as white people, its kind of even. This is just casual observation though. Charlotte is a bigger city with more entertainment options but Raleigh is a place as well. Its probably the safest "big" city in NC and very family oriented. Good schools and was also ranked the 2nd most educated city in the country Raleigh is the #2 Most Educated City in America - Wake County Economic Development

Good stable economy. Big industries are government, medical, education, and IT/Technology. With Raleigh, you have to view it as part of its overall metro (the Triangle) along with Durham, chapel hill, etc which gives it a bigger boost. On the downside, it can be a little "stale" and kind of has a generic "any town, usa" vibe. Nightlife is kinda bland. Also getting more an more expensive along with the population growth. But if you want a nice, safe, place to raise kids/start a family, with decent economy, and basic general amenities Raleigh is a great place.

Decent amount of black people, plenty of jobs especially if you're in IT, health care, or education. Plenty of colleges and universities so that means lots of women. Real estate market is booming here :wow: Good food and only 2 hours away from nice, clean beaches, not those over populated beaches like Myrtle beach

Everyone keep telling me that I should consider moving there to find IT work since I have my A+ Cert and haven’t been able to land jobs here in the DMV. My issue with moving there is that I won’t even know anybody in the city since I don’t have any family within the region.

What is it..... a 5-6 hr drive from the DMV? You could still visit every now then. If you trying to get your career started you need to make that move.

:yeshrug:so why's that a problem outside of medical issues and needing help to move unless your big on those factors

Nice spot for a family. If you’re young/youngish not a bad place to get on your feet and stack some money. Not much of a definitive culture in Raleigh, but I also dont really get the Charlotte love in terms of it being a much better option.
