Spawned one of the biggest hits of 2011/2012 in all of music, effectively coined the term "Black excellence", and is the home of both essence hip-hop tracks (New Day, Murder to Excellence, Primetime) and experimental songs (Who Gon Stop Me, HAM, Gotta Have It). Objectively, what do you rate it?

The tour made it a classic.

It's the last album Kanye had the fashion, album cover, music, stage show just perfect. That black leather and gawdy gold look from Ticsi took the game by storm in the aftermath so it's influence is big.

Honestly, it's just a good album musically. But the whole event - perfect. It felt like an era which is rare in modern hip-hop where things change so quickly. That's what The Throne is about - leading the game. They did just that.

Just seeing them in the stage clothes brings me back to 2011/12. NIP taking clubs by storm. Otis video. Being at the tour etc.

Now that i got that out the way, played it the other day due to the SXSW thread and i forgot how much i fukked with this album. of course i have to skip NIP, OTIS and Lift off( still cant believe they didnt rap on that for real).
