There's some validity to the numbers. But there's also factors that aren't accounted for.

Just look at Ryback and Curtis Axel. They spent a good part of last year with Paul Heyman as their manager who was also managing Brock Lesnar and feuding with CM Punk. I don't think you can doubt that they benefited from being in and around story lines that involved those 3.
