Stupid comparison. Ppl must not remember barry sanders. He was the most selfless player ever. He didn't care about the records. He was all about self-preservation. Barry could've broke the all-time record for rushing for his state in the last high school game of his career with a quarter to go and his team up. When the HC goes to ask him what he want to do, he tell the coach to let the backups get the rest of the rep and he never went for the record.

AP and Barry are two different types of person. Barry used to walk through downtowns with a hoody on in a mob of ppl. He never fell in love with the spotlight. He came to work and went home to his life. Could've gotten paid a lot more money in the 2000's. I remember hearing Daniel Snyder wanted him to come to DC. Imagine that, Snyder would've gave that nigguh a blank check and said surprise me.

AD wants more out of football then Barry does. He ain't gong nowhere. AD feels like he has a lot to prove and do. Barry just came to work. Two different mentalities.

Nah if Peterson demands out of Minnesota, the Vikings will take the draft picks. We allegedly turned down 3 1st from Washington for Barry in 1999

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
what i don't get is why peterson or sanders would even stay there. you see it a lot.. dudes get drafted to shytty teams.. every league... they stick with them for the 4-5 year rookie contract, never win anything.. never get close.. they know the organization is trash

then they can be free agents, and sign right back to the same damn team... and spend years complaining in the media or complaining in silence.. then retire or beg for a trade...

come on dummy.. AP could be on any team he wants to be on.. they'd clear the books for him or he could pull a lebron and take less to go to the broncos or some shyt like that.. they just take care of him on the back end.. anything except being unhappy and just quitting

then again AP never said any of this.. it's more about the disbelief that sanders retired cause he didn't even love the game after losing so much

The teams weren't shytty when they re-signed though. Lions and Vikes both had multiple playoff apperances under their belt when they signed. Not to mention the NFL has a franchise tag so pulling a Lebron is not an option. Not to mention you can never really say never in these league. Many a moribund franchise has turned it around quickly. That wasn't really the case in Sanders day but that's pretty much the rule now. Just think about where the Broncos, Hawks, 9ers, were 3 years ago. Look at the Chiefs just last year.
