In some cases, yes. In most cases, no.
White people dont respect themselves either, but the thing is they dont have too because they are the majority.
Minorities of any kind are the only groups that have to have respect for there culture, however unlike most other minorities African American's truly dont have much of a culture. We were born here as slaves or brought here as slaves and the little bit of culture that we have is all drenched in negativity was purged or its based strongly based on what america is built on. Capitalism, loud barking, freedom of speech, the right to bear arms and fame.
