Reaching out to old friends from high school

It's been nearly 10 years since we've all graduated. It's funny how after graduation everyone says they're gonna be friends for life. But like 1-2 years later everyone slowly/sometimes abrubtly start to drift apart. Life pulls you in different directions and sometimes you outgrow people. I ran into my BEST friend from HS...we kinda had a falling out over something petty. I called her and she rushed me off the phone. At the time I was 18 or 19 so I blocked her number and never called her again. In hindsight it was stupid and I felt bad years later. Ran into her the other day and she's working at the Apple store and we exchange fake pleasantries. Exchange numbers but nothing comes out of it. Kinda regret even approaching her...

So you didn't get that friend's and family discount . She look better now than back then. I saw a chick I didn't see for maybe 8 yrs but I didn't approach because I don't like acting phoney with all that "good to see you, how you been blah blah"

It's amazing how those 3-4 years of high school have more impact on your life than any other period. I was watching that movie "Ma" yesterday and it made me think about this.

Wasn’t on Facebook up until earlier this year. Been outta high school almost 6 years, had a few people I was cool with reach out to me and catch up.

One my regrets is dating my best friend from high school…had a messy breakup a year after we graduated. Grew up with her, our parents are friends, use to sleep over they crib as a shorty. Would’ve been dope to keep her as a friend going into adulthood.
