First thing I see it’s a “write off”

Or the infamous “that’s it??????” :scust:

makes me think no matter what you do it’s not enough

:patrice:

do you have to empty your bank account to be “real” :lupe:

Like what? The only thing that I would see would be to encourage financial literacy and more STEM education and to do that you have to make a culture of education.

Maybe something like that but there are schools that are around education and scholarship wise already

Giving back in what sense , like building after school centers, donations to schools, coat drives in the winter, promoting STEAM education etc would be great .I also dont think anyone should be obligated to do something they dont want to do. People shouldn't be shamed because they made it out of humble beginnings and they want to enjoy the fruits of their labor

I seen our own say it’s not enough what he done so far

They're getting a free education, free meals, bikes..etc.

What else do people want from him? They want him to write out checks to each individual in his hometown? If he goes broke by giving all of his money away all they'll say it "welp, he shouldn't have done it, but if a nikka is giving away money, im gonna take it" :yeshrug:

Were they shooting with him in the gym?

That’s what I see

but when we see a black Person with money the first thing is asked

What have you done to give back

and when they do it’s not enough in their eyes :francis:

So I’m just wondering what’s the Alternative

I’m looking at the breakfast club donation thing and they putting up how much people are giving and you look in the comments and it’s wild :gucci:

Like “ you only gave 150k how dare you..... you know you got more than that”

I seen some one call someone a c00n because it was 50k

I’m like :what:

they dont have enough wealth to save black people.

black entertainers.
athletes etc

are rich but not wealthy enough to save black people

there 2700 billionaires and like 10 are black.

gov is the only thing that can collectively save black people.

they can give back to they local areas

The problem is that all the black people with money are entertainers.

In other communities, they have professionals for that shyt.

We're relying on people who are floated by fickle audiences, casting directors, and who themselves have bosses to represent us. They're inches away from losing it all themselves.

its can't fully ever work.

Oh...and athletes? Forget it. They're lucky if they're still in their leagues past 30 and no one cares what a non-all-star has to say :francis:

Imagine casting your lot with a 20 year old :francis:

They could, but should they? I think the better question is why do we put so much emphasis on celebrities? They are entertainers, not philanthropists. Some celebrities do contribute and donate towards noble causes, but this is something we should be looking for actual leaders to do. Celebrities aren’t community and political leaders, but the public is so infatuated with them that we expect them to react when any major issue happens and express contempt when they don’t do what we “expect” them to do.
