Im not talking about Benny, im talking about Pachanga was the chldhood friend to Carlito. Pachanga was shot by Benny after Benny shot Carlito. (sorry carlito i gotta look out for my future. Lets go bennie. ) (nah you stay here *POW*) :wow:

Why would he think betraying Carlito would get him in good with him. I guess thats how the mafia works though so it probably makes sense but still. Carlito was to small time for it to be worth betraying him.

I think Pachanga betrayed Carlito for not killing Benny when he had the chance. He saw Carlito had gone soft and probably didn't respect him any more.

Its ironic how he betrayed Carlito to cosy up to Benny but Benny saw that as a traitor/bytch move and realized he couldn't trust such a person. Its so demonic, friend.

:wtf:

That doasen't make any sense. Sounds like a terrible fukking prequel. When the hell did Carlito kidnap a mob boss's son? When u say Benny, are u talking about Pachanga? Explain a little better please.
Yea i pretty much completely fukked up my entire thought

what i was saying was that pachanga was in the prequel... and that he was hired by the italians... which would have kinda made sense IF I WASN'T WRONG ABOUT THAT TOO!!!!

apparently they used the exact same fukking actor, with the exact same clothes, accent, looks everything..... to play a completely and totally different person who also happens to hook up with carlito and be his muscle...

like i said, the prequel was definitely retarded

in the prequel carlito is cool with a italian guy and a black guy.. they join up to start selling herion. the black guy's little brother is on some dead prez tip, saying fukk the italians and spanish, we should do our own shyt... so he goes and kidnaps the mob boss' son, who is connected to the italian guys people.

so the mob puts the hit out on all three of the crew.. sending pachanga part 2 to kill them or find the money and kill them. carlito buys some time with the hitman, and they find out where the black dudes little brother is held up. black dude kills his own brother and they give the money to the pachanga (who's not pachanga) character

skip foward and they set up the italians, who still want them dead, with some fake coke that they got from puffy (i can't make this up) and get them all killed by the cops

they never explained why carlito went to jail or who the hell the blond lady was unless i really wasn't paying that much attention

:laff:

Yeah, the prequel sounds retarded as shyt. I'm not even gonna bother watching that. Also using Luis Guzman (the guy who plays Pachanga) in the prequel to be some other character is fukking stupid too :smh:

In the 60's, the Puerto Rican Carlito Brigante, the Afro-American Earl and the Italian Rocco become best friends while in prison. When they are released, Rocco intermediates a heroin business with a family of the Italian Mafia leaded by Artie Badalato Sr. Carlito negotiates with the lord Leroy "Hollywood Nicky" Barnes the area where the trio could operate in his neighborhood and sooner the three friends become powerful. Later, Carlito dates and has an affair with the beautiful Leticia. When Earl decides to move to Barbados with his girlfriend and leave the heroin business, his stupid younger brother causes a situation with the Italian mobsters, and Carlito and Rocco have to resolve the mess to save their lives.

You deserve triple daps for this post starting from how it's better than Scarface all the way to the quotes.

I thought it played that era great in the film. I thought the love aspect was realistic as well.

My favourite quote from the film was the one when it's raining and he does a voiceover about being in jail and who you keep thinking about seeing when you get released. He talks about how everybody is changed but you pray that one face hasn't changed. One of my favourite movie quotes.

I'm not really down with the most conventional ending of people getting back together, getting karma, etc. but I believe it was right here that he got merked. I really wanted Carlito to succeed and escape but if he didn't, would I still like the film as much? Not sure.
