i doubt it. i think people are going to become more materialistic. the value system has already eroded. the only people it might change for are those who had money and end up not having money, and that's only if (more like when) the people in their circles abandon them, then they'll have to resort to caring about other things rather than material. but honestly, i think people on a whole are just going to become more greedy because they want their piece. the prevailing idea is that some people are hoarding, not that we're all suffering together, even though we are minus the hoarders. the only time the idea of joint suffering is used is to motivate a group to action to serve the desires of a few, not because they feel like everyone's going to benefit. so, people are motivated to reach out to get theirs instead of coming together to build for everyone. that's the problem with individualism being emphasized historically, eventually it catches up with everyone.
but, like i said, people are only going to become more greedy, more selective than they have been before. money is already the standard of measurement, and just because we all don't have any money, it doesn't mean the standard of measurement will change, all it means is that people will fight to obtain value, not look for something new...
at least not right away...
