Real Talk, black people need to stop making "black themed" movies

Seriously 95 % of movies with a black cast and black director, black producer, etc are corny af. The movie is always either about A) some kid from the hood trying to make it out or B) some 40 year old who's trying to find love while complaining about finding no good man (basically every tyler perry film).


And nikkas wonder why most black films get bad reviews. Its always the same shyt over and over again. Blacks are begging white people to make a black bond or black superman when in reality, we could just make our own version of bond or superman. But instead of doing that the same corny themed movies are made again and again.

Asian movie with Asian cast, Asian director, etc are pretty good.
I think the real issue is the writing. Corny lines make for a corny movie.

Not saying i disagree but look at the budget for a bond or superman movie verses a "typical black movie" the people who finance movies ain't trying to see a black superman. Look at Danny Glovers Haitian revolution movie issues. Black movie budgets are very low. Closest you getting is Blade or Black Panther and those are characters who aren't going to deal with being black in a white mans world.

The only hidden agenda in Hollywood is money. If black made movies make tons of money they will make more of them.

But because white people are more marketable and relatable to the general population that watches movies it will show in the movies themselves

My only problem with Black movies is there isn't much variety.

It's either shytty Comedy ( Tyler Perry ), Corny Romance, or Hood films.

Is it really that hard to go find some talented Black screenwriters?
