Id say he's the perfect post attitude era heel. He is what 00-01 HHH SHOULD have been. Great heel without being over the top and long winded. I never once got tired of his championship run and it lasted like what? 9-10 months? Stellar work id say.
nah breh I been watching Impact lately, but no joke, he is the best heel easily. The dude comes off natural. The dude hella improved. No heel in the business is fukking with him right now or this year. No joke, but I haven't been impressed with a heel like this in forever, like since probably 08 Y2J heel maybe. Roooooo is that dude.
Roode looks like an 80s tag team guy. He's nothing special. The booking is. One advantage TNA has is not being hamstrung by PG level booking. Heels can actually look strong and have personality. Besides Mark Henry's stellar run last year and Lesnar this year, all heels have been booked to be jokes and take a shyt ton of losses. There really aren't any "serious" heels in the WWE. They're either cookie cutter cocky or joke characters. I guess Big Show is an exception, but he's an archetype as well, monster heel. They just don't stand out.
It's a funny day in TSC when people are willing to big up TNA booking to avoid giving a good wrestler props.

But the only thing Roode has done that isnt PG is use of the beer bottle. The booking definitely helped his case but he has never been a slouch. He was alot more ready for this singles push than his last.
