Just because Drake sings and raps doesn't make him comparable to Lauryn Hill. That's like saying Chris Brown is a modern day Michael Jackson because they both sang and danced.

Lauryn Hill is a LEGENDARY artist, a once in a lifetime type of talent who was a singer, rapper, producer of the highest order at her prime. Drake is a very good rapper and decent singer who has managed to become successful, but he has not transcended the genre the way Lauryn did. The Miseducation was a classic from top top bottom, just an undeniable work of genius. Drake hasn't attained that.

Agreed, he really acts like a white person and but he tries to force that nikka persona.

Eminem acts like a regular white person and he sold more records than anyone in Hip Hop history, a white rapper has a song that's #1 on the billboards without being signed to a major.

While I enjoy Drake's singing, to compare him to Hill vocally is hilarious to say the least

They both may sing and rap, but they're on different levels and in different lanes

The comparison isn't as far fetched as it sounds. Drake just doesn't have the depth that Lauryn has in terms of songwriting ability. He's really a talented dude, but I would love to see him expand his subject matter. I guess that may come with age.
