G Rap & Face are arguably the forefathers of painting pictures on wax. Biggie's career was obviously cut short while Nas has continued to excel at creating descriptive narratives on wax.


I threw Ross in because we all know he doesn't live the reality of the stories he creates on wax but he does a phenomenal job of putting his words together and creating convincing tales.

You just can't disregard what P did from Infamous to Murda Muzik. Throw in his guest verses, and some of HNIC and he's one of the greatest storytellers ever.
