Fukk your corny debates
It was good, but I expected more considering all the acclaim it gets as arguably the greatest comic story ever. Maybe it's just the aging. It probably did seem mind-blowingly epic in 1986.
It has some plot holes that were too unrealistic even for comics and even for Batman to me. Like how the fukk did he just give the Mutants and the Batmen a pep talk and turn them (particularly the Mutants) from Clockwork Orange-type baby-killing psychopaths into superheroes who don't kill?
Still an overall good story...expected a little more. Not fukking with The Watchmen.

Wasn't the hype around this really centered around there finally being a "dark" Batman story separating it from the Adam West Batman and that he actually "defeated" Superman in a official comic? I recently read it for the first time in preparation for the animated version, which is great by the way, and i never really heard, read or saw discussions about that Mutant story. I knew Robin was a girl but other than that, it was all about him being dark and fighting Supes. Both recent Batman movie franchises are based off this comic pretty much...
