Recommend some blues music ITT

[Spiritual Stratocaster]

Never got into this genre.

Preferably somewhat upbeat and chill, nothing slow and depressing.

John Lee Hooker sounds good

Btw I won't knock someone tryna get into the Blues

But the root of the blues is the slow tempo
Songs about heartbeak,pain.

The slower stuff is where the great blues guys shine...they're not playing as many notes but they make each note count.

That "slow depressing" music inspired a whole generation of musicians around the world..especially Rolling Stones/Led Zeppelin.

Not really he's right....you're not really soaking in the genre of Blues if you don't wanna listen to the slower "depressing" stuff...
