And I’m cool. I actually went with a different offer but I was floored that the company’s recruiter fully ignored me after the 2nd interview. I wouldn’t care about this but I see the recruiter chatting all over LinkedIn. Feel like calling her out. On top of that this is one of those companies that prides themselves on feedback after each interview. When I accepted my offer, I told the other companies I was in the interview process with that I’m bowing out. The recruiters responded and wished me luck. This other recruiter didn’t even respond.

She keeps popping up on my feed! :why:

In all seriousness though ghosting is terrible but I know it happens often. 2 interviews.,waste of time.

I got through 2 separate interview processes with the same company and got ghosted twice after having been told they were positive. What's worse is, they were both referral positions :skip: . Complain up and down about the professionalism of candidates then turn around and do the same things. These companies, nah, these recruiters ain't shyt.

As a professional recruiter I can confirm…. We ain’t shyt.:yeshrug:

If you run into a recruiter who is shyt really try and get hired by that company, it’s a great sign.

The irony is they go on and on about all this bullshyt about being transparent and looking for people with good values that have integrity then pull this shyt. I’m a 5 star candidate too. Get interviews instantly…always multiple offers. It’s this broad ghosting me and then posting all over LinkedIn trying to recruit people.

I’m sure the company has no idea. I could easily bytch to her boss but I’ll let it go.

Are you a corporate recruiter? This was a corporate recruiter which was even worse. 3rd party recruiters ain’t shyt, they just wanna fill the job, get paid and move on. They always ghosting.

3rd party, but I’m actually trying to get into a more general HR role. Sourcing is brutal for all sides.

Also don’t take the recruiter rejection personally. Sometimes they are recruiting based on criteria that isn’t apparent such as specific projects, or skills or they might know the salary is on the low end and your background excluded you from fitting the description of someone who would take that offer. Time is never on the recruiters side and if she is actively pushing on LinkedIn she probably’s behind filling he role.

I don't think any of us have a problem with rejection, because there's closure. When you're just sitting there wondering, that's what pisses people off.

Pay was excellent but at worst my background might have been too technical. Even so, a response should have been given. I accepted a great role as well but wanted the amazing benefits this one had ..plus it looked easier and had bigger bonus.

I give people a week time period and if you don’t hear from me or the company directly assume you didn’t get it. I do not have time or the mental capacity to reject a dozen people a week. Most 3rd Party recruiters dont. Full cycle might but they are not dealing with that volume.

I tend not to deal with 3rd party so my ire is with corporate.

That’s it. The fact that I’m sitting here after getting another job but still thinking about this one is due to lack of closure. It would have even been easier if I didn’t get a good vibe. I’ve been through enough interviews to know when I killed it or fukked up. I killed this one and got all the good signs from the interviewers who said I’d hear back that week. This was last month.

It’s a simple template.

Yeah but how detached can it be, also now I got to eat shyt as people take out their frustration of not getting the job or send me letters that make me feel bad for not hiring them. Now imagine that dozens of times a day…

The only times I really follow up is when I have an alternative job to offer them. That way at least I am not wasting your time and my own delivering bad news.
