The process is called Direct Air Capture. Basically it pulls in air and separates the CO2 from it. The CO2 is then combined with other chemicals to make synthetic fuels, plastics, or other petrocarbon products. The cost for processing a ton of CO2 is around $100. Whereas before it was speculated to be $600 a ton. So in theory, instead of creating new fuel and pumping more CO2 into the air, we'll just use CO2 already in the air to create fuel and have an infinite process of recycling.
