everything i've heard over the years says it's an investment property, something he owns, probably fixing it up at the time to flip or rent out

idk it looks pretty lived in to me. im guessing people didn't watch the video in the op. mtv cribs went back 13 years later, and did a rewind with Redman. at the same spot...

having a crib for 13+ years doesn't sound like an investment for flipping.

ok so this is one that he lives in, dude tours all year round why would he keep a huge house if he's never there? there is nothing to say it's his main crib, in the original video there was plaques all over the place, everything looked like it was just a place to fix up & keep a bunch of stuff that wouldn't go in his main house.

ya id be surprised if he doesn't have other property. prolly the chill spot for his friends and fam, he has a studio there now too. he said they recorded blackout 2 there, redman gone wild, and muddy waters there as well

what's so hard to believe about a rapper living frugal like that? maybe Red is just hood, and that's how he wants to live his life
