Now, the Redskins are looking to add some incentive back to the kicking side of things.

Washington has proposed a rule change that places the ball five yards closer to the end zone if the ball goes through the uprights on a kickoff. If you've got strength and aim, you might just be rewarded for it.

Now, kickoffs would be more of a skill for the kicker than a formality.

This is encouraging touchbacks...or whatever the proper term is.
That's stupid. It's a disincentive to returning kicks...which the NFL should want...because a kick return is more exciting than a ball going thru the fukking uprights.

The NFL is working on Overtime rules, Kick offs, 2 point conversions.

How about changing some rules so the defense can actually play tough defense?
I know you got a CTE problem but football is inherently violent and these fukkers are gonna get brain injuries regardless.

If they're gonna be vegetables, I wanna see some real hits.

They've already decided that they're trying to downplay the kick returns tho b/c of the injuries ... With that being the case I could be open to this idea

It's sad that the NFL (and subsequently college + high school) are trying to kill kick returns. It's one of the most exciting parts of football. Like @Raul said football is inherently violent, injuries come with the territory. But too much protection for the can kill the essence of football, which is and always will be "I'm more physical than you."
