Are you interested in any subject in particular?

I'm into economics so I have some recommendations in that field: Fault Lines by Rajan and Animal Spirits by Akerlof and Shiller are good.

The New Jim Crow by Alexander is a must have for brothers and sisters. Anything by Malcolm Gladwell is usually fun and a quick read and kinda educational.

I never pass up a chance to recommend Catch A Fire by White. Bob Marley's biography. VERY well written.

it might be dated at this point but i still enjoy 'empire of illusion' by chris hedges. best book i read this year was 'white party, white government' by joe feagin.
