Reffing in the NFL is making it almost unwatchable

NBA reffing is bad, but absolutely nothing comes close to how bad NFL reffing is.

There are just way to many flags being thrown for things that have no impact on the play.
If it doesn't affect the play it shouldn't be thrown.

But the worst thing is the BLATANT inconsistencies.

It doesn't even matter what team the flag is on, I just cringe every time I see one thrown.

I swear these refs get more airtime than 90% of the players. There is absolutely no reason why I should know the names of these refs. They are getting way to much FaceTime with these fukking calls.

its to the point now where after a big play when a guy is tackled, i look to make sure there is no flag before i get happy. college football is the same i watched a couple different games yesterday and there was a targeting in each of them

So true bro. example is the 12 men on the field bullshyt. 99% its some guy that's almost at the sideline, but "technically hes in" shyt is stupid.

The NFL loves to pretend they enforce rules literately as per rulebook. , but really everything is a judgement call.

A player heading towards the sidelines that's a step or two away is no way gonna effect the play.

The NFL is trying to manufacture stars. Unfortunately they are making stars out of these fukking refs.

about inconsistencies - yeah a lot of calls in football are judgement calls. simply because on every play theres *some* violation of the rule, the question is how far can you go without getting a flag

a ton of linemen will hold one way or the other on a play. the key is to hold only for a split second to get advantage, and not 'go through' with it so that you dont get flagged. same with teams who play physical defense on receivers. some players are good in disguising contact and holding, some aren't. if you watch film, you know those 'mini-holds' sometimes open up huge holes and timing windows. those are players knowing well how to operate within the rules.

I want them to use the same judgement that they use for PI and offensive holding.

if a player has all but one foot of the field, how is that going to affect it the play? There is a lot judgement calls might as well add another one.

you are frustrated with the flags/breaks in the game it seems. nothing is wrong with enforcing 11 men in the huddle as it affects the play.

in the scenario youre talking about, the 12 men penalty will only get called if the ball is snapped. if the qb can identify that and snap the ball ASAP without huddling thats just good awareness.

sorry, the 12 men penalty in your scenario is all about discipline on your subs.
