First things first let me say this. I've seen the Ja threads lately, they've had me like :dahell: too ..

But since people are talking about him again,i had to dig up some of the old albums ..

The dude made some bangers regardless of how bad 50 and everyone else dissed him,or the singing shyt .. Venni Vetti Vecci is a great fukking album,so too was Blood In My Eye ..

these tracks are all great tracks

Couldn't stand Ja after his first album but the way the fans did him after 50 started dissin him was crazy. 50 called him a bytch and clowned for the tracks he released and then went and dropped 21 Questions as a single and then follows it up with Disco Inferno, Candy Shop, Just A Lil Bit and Out Of Control...all songs that we're pretty much R&B tracks... the same shyt he clowned Ja for.

50 was smart as fukk but the fans we're dumb as hell

people got caught up with the sales instead of the shytty ass music 50 was making, kind of like how Lil Wayne's fans praised him "the greatest rapper alive'' after Tha Carter III dropped.

The pop-oriented complaints about Ja's music had no effect on me, but embarrassingly enough, I did fall victim to that narrative about Ja's character. I took 50's claims about Ja being a p*ssy, having no history in the streets, and 50 beating him up/robbing him as truth without a spec of evidence given.

shyt, I can remember back to 8th grade when R.U.L.E dropped, and I was trying to persuade ppl at lunch to give it a listen. Their response basically boiled down too, "Lol, I can't be seen listening to Ja rule" and then something about him being fake and soft. I would pretty much agree with their complaints, even as a Ja stan. I would say something like, "Yeah he's fake but he makes good music" as a way to maneuver around the stigmas that Ja held.

It wasn't until I started to value facts over hearsay that my opinion began to change on the matter. Now, I view everything 50 has said about Ja as one big grand con job to get himself over, and it worked perfectly.
