The issue isn't just the triangle, its the guys Phil has coaching it (including rotations and adjustments) and the roster fit.

You can't just jam a play style in to a team if it's not a good fit. Mike D'Antoni did the same thing with the Lakers, trying to play run and gun with older Kobe, Pau, and Dwight

D'Antoni had Pau spacing the floor because Pau looked like garbage the last year with Phil. Lets not blame him for Pau not being a star. Kobe didn't hijack the offense as much as he was using his teammates to get buckets within it. Kobe had his best scoring season in years under him. Lets not discredit the man.
