I attended his church for about 10 years or so, I don't go now, but I still watch service from time to time. In all the years, I've never heard him mention the Anti-Christ, so I thought it was interesting.

Do not turn this into a religious bashing thread :beli: bc regardless of whether you are religious or not, it's an interesting take. AI will indeed most likely end up being something man made but man cannot control. Yeah, Google, Microsoft might can regulate theirs, but there's already so many off-shoots that it will most likely be something that outsmarts us on many levels. Criminals, scammers, job loss, court rooms/trials will get murky, elections etc etc....all these things and many more might be negatively impacted at some point bc of rogue AI.

Didn't watch much but, AI is already out of control and is emergent(Learning things that we did not teach or tell it to learn) and is going to be a shift in our lifetimes akin to what social media was but, bigger. If we as a society don't agree to put some guard rails up on what we can agree to do and what we won't as well as consequences we can legitimately be looking at a break in reality as we know it. These companies(as always) are only operating in the interest of profits and there will be a price to pay if we don't try to get this under control NOW. We already see what social media did to us and are on the way to repeating it again.

Oh yeah I have very little hope that they would. The last time they did was with the threat of nukes and people don't see this as a threat of that magnitude yet but we could really be there. AI breaks almost very conventional security we use for pretty much everything tech adjacent right now. Think about it like this, something as simple as your voice which used to be used for logins with banks etc is done. I only need a 5 second clip of you talking to recreate your voice with AI. It gets even deeper than that.

just asked chatgpt to create a sermon in the style of a southern black preacher :ehh: this muhfukka had a bit to say:

My beloved brothers and sisters, it is an honor and a privilege to be with you today to share the word of the Lord. I come to you with a message of hope, a message of redemption, and a message of love.

We are living in troubled times. The world is full of chaos and confusion, and it seems like evil is all around us. But I want to remind you today that God is still on the throne. He is still in control, and He is still watching over us.

We may not understand why we are going through what we are going through, but we can trust that God has a plan. His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts, but He knows what is best for us.

We need to have faith like Abraham, who believed God even when he couldn't see how things would work out. We need to have faith like David, who trusted God even when he was facing giants. And we need to have faith like Job, who remained faithful to God even when he lost everything.

I know that some of you may be going through trials and tribulations right now. You may be dealing with sickness, financial problems, or relationship issues. But I want you to know that God is with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He is a present help in the time of trouble.

So hold on to your faith, my brothers and sisters. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in God. He will make a way out of no way. He will open doors that no man can shut. And He will bring you through every storm.

Remember, we serve a God who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think. So let us keep our eyes on Him, and let us keep our hearts open to His love and His grace.

May God bless you, may God keep you, and may God shine His face upon you. Amen and amen.

Another sermon but this time I asked it to add scriptures... it just mentioned books :martin: still spittin tho :lawd:

My beloved brothers and sisters, today I want to talk to you about a topic that is on the forefront of our minds - artificial intelligence. As we see advancements in technology, some of us may be wondering what this means for our future. But let us turn to the Word of God for guidance and wisdom.

In the book of Genesis, we are told that God created man in His own image, and breathed into him the breath of life. We are created to be creative beings, with the ability to innovate and create new things. And as such, we have been given the knowledge and the ability to develop artificial intelligence.

But we must remember that while AI is a tool that can be used for good, it is not the solution to all of our problems. In the book of Proverbs, we are told to trust in the Lord with all our hearts, and not to lean on our own understanding. We cannot put our faith in technology alone, for it is fallible and imperfect.

We must also be mindful of the potential dangers of AI. In the book of Ecclesiastes, we are reminded that for every season, there is a time and a purpose. We must use our wisdom and discernment to ensure that AI is used for the betterment of humanity, and not for our destruction.

And most importantly, we must keep our focus on God. In the book of Psalms, we are told to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto us. Our faith in God should be the foundation upon which we build our lives, and our use of technology should always be in service of Him.

So let us approach this new era of technology with wisdom and discernment. Let us remember that our God is sovereign over all things, including artificial intelligence. And let us use our knowledge and our abilities to serve others and to glorify God.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, may His face shine upon you and give you peace. Amen and amen.
