funny how people talk about Floyd fights being long & boring, not worth the money.....but I remember in the 90's(especially post-prison Tyson) the issue was the fights were too quick.

Even the WWF used to make a selling point of giving your moneys-worth on PPV, as opposed to boxing.

People re never satisfied.

Millions of people in the 90s:

I ain't payin $30 for that shyt. fukk that we goin' over to insert relative here's house.

It is ironic that people used to complain about fights being over too quick are now complaining about them going the distance without a knockout.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
it was especially funny that Mike said what he said, cuz I remember multiple times my uncles/family ordering his fights and being pissed off at them ending in like 30 seconds.

My father and I watched Tyson Holyfield 2 on PPV, when he bit his fukking ear :Yeahaight:

Exactly my point.

now THAT was real boxing. :mjlol:

But after that remember how many people were "done with boxing" b/c Tyson turned it into a "sideshow"?

But seriously tho, what was more unpredictable/crazy than Tyson biting a mans ear off in the middle of a boxing match? Now they complain b/c it's too boring.

The sad part is the monthly cable bills were cheaper than the fights, now th cable bills are car notes, now fights are car notes

His fights are boring even he knows that. Thats why he will occasionally come out and say he gonna really brawl this match or that match. He does it for a round and a half then resorts back to his normal style when he gets caught. ( thats what he's supposed to do though)

He is smarter than i thought. We are paying for floyd personality not his fights. Makes complete sence with he didnt wanna be the good guy. He might have went down as the most boing champion of all time to the public.

Only wish his stans would figure this out.:snoop:

I'm not sure what your point is... consumers complain about everything lol. That's just how it is when you live in a society where you're born with corporations' hands in your pockets.

Nah I don't recall anyone complaining about Hagler v. Hearns :mjpls:

Floyd's fights are boring and not worth the money.
People don't pay to see him win. They pay in hopes that he'll lose.

For all of Floyd's incredible financial success...has he ever once been in a Fight of the Year?
Someone look this up for me, because I doubt he has.

It's not even mid-year and already the Danny Garcia/Lamont Peterson fight was more entertaining.
The Lucas Matthysse/Ruslan Provodnikov fight was more entertaining.
And if Kirkland lets his hands go this weekend, his fight with Canelo Alvarez will be more entertaining.

I 100% agree that Floyd is a masterful defensive fighter and he does a tremendous job of promoting himself and his fights. But in no way, shape or form is he the most entertaining or exciting fighter in the sport.

You don't make that connection just because of the dollars.
Let's keep it real.
