Floyd's fights are boring and not worth the money.
People don't pay to see him win. They pay in hopes that he'll lose.

For all of Floyd's incredible financial success...has he ever once been in a Fight of the Year?
Someone look this up for me, because I doubt he has.

It's not even mid-year and already the Danny Garcia/Lamont Peterson fight was more entertaining.
The Lucas Matthysse/Ruslan Provodnikov fight was more entertaining.
And if Kirkland lets his hands go this weekend, his fight with Canelo Alvarez will be more entertaining.

I 100% agree that Floyd is a masterful defensive fighter and he does a tremendous job of promoting himself and his fights. But in no way, shape or form is he the most entertaining or exciting fighter in the sport.

You don't make that connection just because of the dollars.
Let's keep it real.

He's been fighter ofthe year multiple times 98 and 07 just off the top of my head you're trippin

funny how people talk about Floyd fights being long & boring, not worth the money.....but I remember in the 90's(especially post-prison Tyson) the issue was the fights were too quick.

Even the WWF used to make a selling point of giving your moneys-worth on PPV, as opposed to boxing.

People re never satisfied.

What year did Tyson get outta prison?

it was especially funny that Mike said what he said, cuz I remember multiple times my uncles/family ordering his fights and being pissed off at them ending in like 30 seconds.
i swear my stepdad ordered 3 tyson fights in a row and they all ended in 30-45 seconds with a knockout :heh:
14 straight first round knockouts :dead:

people want something along the middle. A nice 4 rd fight ending in a Ko would be ideal. Theyd be ok with a decision if the fight was exciting. I dont follow boxing much but espn had some gatti fight that was exciting as fukk. Id pay $100 for that, it was a battle

The best fights are never on ppv, especially heavyweight.

The last ppv fight I thought was worth the money was b-hop sonning Felix trinidad. Everybody thought xecutioner was in the way of this fraud. Was so happy when tito got whooped. Robbed de la hoya.
