From the rosters in the 2011 game, an incredible 50 players even were selected in future NFL drafts. Another 14 players who played in the 2011 showdown have signed as undrafted free agents, including this year’s crop of players, the final holdovers from the 2011 season.

For Alabama, eight defensive starters were drafted, as were seven offensive starters, putting them at 15 of their 22 starting players on both sides of the ball. For LSU, there were three offensive starters and nine defensive players taken in subsequent drafts, giving them 12 starters in all from the game drafted.

Between the two teams, 17 of the 22 defensive starters were drafted, and 10 total defensive players from the game were drafted in the first round — not a surprise when you think to how brutally physical the games between them were.
In total, there were 14 future first-round picks playing in that game, as well as 27 players selected in the first three rounds.

:wow: 17 of 22 defensive starters drafted. 10 in the 1st round.

No wonder the game was so low scoring. It was basically 2 NFL defenses playing a college game. all you nikkas that hated on that game better apologize. we'll probably NEVER see that much NFL talent on one college field ever again.

Who cares?

I remember nikkas saying the reason that game was low scoring is because SEC teams had no offense. Now we know the real reason. It was 2 nfl teams playing that day.

50 dudes getting drafted outta one game is STUPID. there ain't 2 teams in any other conference you could combine and get 50 draftable players.

FSU just had 30 drafted within past 3 years I would guess our game in 2012 with Clemson had quite a few drafted players im too drunk/lazy to look it up tonight

I'll give you FSU. then been putting dudes in the league like bama did a couple of years ago but no to clemson. they're still not on the LSU/Alabama level of producing pros.
