Can't really call it a flop because nobody really asked for it to begin with. I'm sure many knew a Jay/Beyonce album was inevitable. It had a few cool songs, but nothing that was really essential listening.

The album was basically done to tour on, and that tour was mad successful for them. They snatched up a nice amount of awards for it too.

With all that said, I could never really get into it. It's not my thing. Couples from different genres shouldn't make music together, lol.

Album was dope, never got the hate.

It had one single and then it's like the push stopped completely.
cuz the shyt was flopping and they didn't want to keep promoting that embarrassment. shining flopped the year before also, their respective audiences don't seem to amount to a combined audience

Sadly it came and went. Was listening to it for a week or two and the hype went away. Apeshyt & Friends was kind of hard though.
