So what do you think he was really saying in that song?
Is it still a "misinterpretation?"
Is it still a "misinterpretation?"
He meant what he said...he slipped molly in her champagne, took her home and enjoyed it...the 2nd "she ain't even know it" wasn't a reference to smashing her while she was passed out and not being aware they had sex...but enjoying her companionship, which I'm assuming included coitus, while she was unknowingly under the effects of mdma...which typically don't include blacking out...if any sex act did in fact occur that night, she would have indeed knew it and remembered it very vividly...which I'm sure some would still classify as "rape", and I'm sure still a crime...but not what many have in mind when they think "date rape"

It's all about interpretation. I took it as he raped her. Doesn't mean thats what he meant. Probably was, but the fact remains he never said rape, he never said anything about any sexual acts, so it could infact be a misinterpretation.

Not seeing how that has anything to do with my post, you asked what the misinterpretation was and I told youThe song was called "you don't even know it"
He remixed it as "she ain't even know it"
BIG difference there.![]()
Thing is, rap is BUILT on metaphor and innuendo.
So the one time it doesn't slide by people, dude tried to play it off after the fact.
Thats my point.
Its like...come on ya'll. Its cool if thats what you want to say if you choose to stand by it, but I was just so surprised at how many people were openlyfor ross.
And I LIKE Ross' music...but that message was pretty clear.
The message is not clear. Thats why it's left to interpretation. We choose to see it as rape. Some don't.

all he did was went home and enjoyed that
