blissful ignorance about the way the world works. getting into all kinds of shyt around the neighborhood, unlimited energy to hoop, play football or soccer outside in the blazing sun for hours unphased...then hit the pool

my and my boys set up camping tents in the backyard and put tvs and xboxes in them and system linked on halo 2 all fukkin night into the morning during one summer. cuz we knew we'd get kicked off if we tried doin that shyt inside the house. shyt is

i still live a little like that. i mean, i got stuff to do, but i take it at my own pace.
So you'd wake up, grab your bowl of cereal (or in my case Toaster strudels) and watch this
Then you'd take a shower, throw on the gym shorts and meet up with the homies. From 12pm-7pm (weekdays) you'd be doing nothing but THIS
In-between 3-4pm you'd take a break to head to the candy lady for a few of THESE
At around 8pm you and the homies might be a little worn so you'd go to whichever friends house had a patio and chill around playing with THIS
But you weren't REAL unless THIS was the game you were playing
On Fridays, it was a known agreement that at 4pm all activities ceased so that you could go home, flip on Cartoon Network (this is the time the Toonami block started) to watch THIS

Saturday's, you and the homies would wake up a little later, around 12pm. Take a shower and put on your best bear which almost always consisted of THIS
You'd hop on the Marta, or if your mother/father was feeling generous they'd give you a ride. Once at the Mall, your eyes would immediately be assaulted with images of THIS
After a day of Mall Macking, you'd head back home, where cartoon network's Adult Swim would be starting around 10pm. You'd watch THIS
And THIS
THAT was the perfect Summer Brehs

Man I miss it. Glad i was a kid in the 90s and lived in the city. We would be about 20-30 deep with all neighborhood kids. We would play baseball for a week straight then got the bug for basketball then soccer. Even played street hockey haha dont know where everyone pulled out a hockey stick but somehow we all had one. We would also rumble 15/15 water ballon fights 30 person 2 block zone for catch the robbers. When we really got bored go buy 2 dozens of eggs and toss em at cars from the freeway overpass. take me back brehs.
