I remember when I found out Free was holding 
Yeah man I didn't appreciate that time period but hip hop was so fun for me still at that time lol. This channel is dope its only a matter of time before Viacom comes for it lol so I will enjoy it while I can. Prime Ashanti

BET was a great Network when they were black owned and you could tell ...it was very organic up until the Viacom buy out .... I actually thought it was a good thing for some reason and they would"scale" it up but man was I wrong ...you could tell it was a numbers crunching thing when they decided to put Baby Boy and Martin reruns on a damn near endless loop...... my point is BET didn't always suck

Is that show still even on the air? It was definitely a good show. Fell like they always used to play the same songs and bow wow was number 1 for like the entire year.
It was still good the first few years that viacom owned it since bob johnson was still running the network but when he stepped down it was slowly dismantled the last remnant was basically rap city and that was that.
