Never heard this joint, so I aint gon lie I listened to the song expecting to bust out laughing, but this song is dope. If he was making a lame attempt at having a "club smash" then this would have been hilarious. The lyrics and message is consistent with classic Guru/Gang Starr. I think the chorus explains why he's using autotune too: "sometimes you gotta take the fast lane or else they gonna pass you real fast mayne". He's saying since the public at the time was so caught up in the autotune era he was going to use autotune as a tool to get their attention and spread his message. Buckshot and KRS One dropped a song with a similar message the same year too...
