I've been pretending to hate on Kendrick on the internet for like 2 years now but I cannot deny that GKMC is a classic
I mean for real this man put his heart and soul into the album, this album is 100% classic, deserved to win AOTY that year, etc.
Now let me be honest for a sec, I never really cared for Kendrick before GKMC, in fact I think that Overly Dedicated is 100% trash, Section .80 is solid tho
but GKMC is the peak of this man's career, classic album with classic jawns like BDKMV, mAAd City, Swimming Pools, Money Trees, man the list goes on, good kid was some real trash though, 100% skip, that and Real and Compton I could do without but the rest of the album is so good idgaf about the garbage as much
But then this man had to regress and go back and drop the trash known as "To Pimp A Butterfly"
What kind of self respecting black man looks in the mirror and thinks "yeah thats a good title for this album the hood gon fukk with that"
Seriously now, and then he pushes his agenda on us and guess what only the white people care this album has no weight or influence
oh and don't even get me started on all the gay shyt with pac that just pushed this album to a whole new level of trash
but damn in 2012 up to the point Kendrick lost his mind and dropped Control this man was ON
everything he was dropping was hot he was the hottest rapper in the game then
its a damn shame he's gonna be overshadowed by his debut album for his whole career like naS
