I vaguely remember Edge challenging Mark Henry to lift a car on some kind of WWE programming in the early 2000s.

And Vince must never have forgiven Lashley for leaving the first time. They were in the process of making him the #2 right behind Cena when he left, and he still looks the same and is a much better worker now.
