This made me realize that no crew last forever

Murder Inc used to be on top of the game, selling 4 million albums per drop

Now they don't even exist anymore

Deathrow....gone

Rocafella ....gone

RuffRyders...gone

Rawkus....gone

No Limit....gone

Mobb Deep.....gone

Dipset.....gone

Badboy......gone....Puff the only n1gga left.

G unit isn't relevant anymore so u might as well say they're gone also.....Shady records had potential with Slaugherhouse but after that wack album they're gone too.

Wu tang the only crew from the 90s thats still together :wow:

I guess Cash Money is still in there also....if Nicki and Drake count as CMR artist

Moral of the story is...don't ride or die for no crew bruhs, fuk them n1ggas, just look out for yourself

I think baby and slim gotta get their props on this... I mean CM been runnini since 97-98? That's 12-13 years in the game and they still poppin'. And you just know ymcmb was just changin' the name of the brand to appeal to the new generation.

Back on topic, Im glad that shyt didnt last long, coulda yall imagine nas doin ja rule type of love songs? :scusthov:

FEDS: What happened with HOT 97? You wanted to hang a doll that looked like Jay Z @ Summer Jam.
NaS: ................. Irv was telling everyone NaS is with Murder Inc. I told Steve Stoute to tell him to chill. I called Irv. I said Irv chill, everbody saying I'm on Murder Inc. Irv said "fukk that, you got to ride with us son, so I said I'm riding with you if y'all riding with me, but lets chill. He said yeah, no doubt.........

FEDS: So whats the connection, are you signed to Murder Inc?
NaS: No, we are like allies. It's important to have that.

The Nas Murder Inc. afiiliation was just that. Nas was never gonna sign with them, they both were using each other to an extent because of mutual enemies.

Pretty sure it was always like Irv reaching out to Nas to stand by him in the midst of all the summerjam madness. Irv and others made it out like the joining together shyt meant Nas actually was going to Murder Inc and Gotti was gonna produce God's Son (contractually I dont even think Nas could jump to Def Jam like that).

Dude was trying to sign Nas even before Summerjam, I remember there was a XXL feature on Gotti in like April/May 2002 where he hinted and wanting to sign Nas. You know this was during the days when the Inc was really feeling themselves and trying to build themselves and make it look like they were gonna do some proper merger with themselves and Death Row and Rap-a-Lot cause of the friendship with J Prince and Suge.

The weird thing is, I know Nas tends to change managers everytime he has a different album to promote (Hes had Stoute, Lighty, Biggie's former manager the dude who produced Tracy Lee's album who;s name I forget now....) but I actually wonder if Gotti is indirectly co-managing Nas right now. I see him hang out with him a lot again (Summerjam, Queens Story, NBA 2k3 launch)..and Esco's current manager that Anthony Saleh kid looks like he might be releated to Irv lol
