Funny you just reminded me that Luda did the exact same thing with War With God :snoop:

I still say to this day he was talkin about Wayne with that real president Carter line. There was also some mention of it bein directed towards Shawty Lo but I dont see why an established artist would even entertain an unknown rapper on an album cut :manny:

he wasnt talking bout shawty lo, he said "i aint talking bout no bankhead court bowen homes or adamsville nikkas"

and i doubt if the president carter line was about wayne and more just a shoutout 2 hov.

2 me it sounded like he was still going at lil flip on here and what u know

it's silly breh, when your career's finished all you got is your words to stand on and your discography

if you have to backtrack about what the song is intended for, don't even bother putting it on record :beli:

the game have me :dead: sometimes

it's partly the fans fault with taking sides, getting so involved that these rappers can't have gripes with other entertainers because they're worried about losing their base :ld:

Hold up first of all he ain't have to say it wuz about Wayne cuz it wuznt no personal beef there, just rap competetion and nikkas throwin sublimes....Wayne threw a subliminal he threw one back as a tester....its only bullshyt to throw subliminals when everybody know u got a prsonal problem with a nikka but won't say his name ie Pusha T...subliminals between friends is cool:whoa:

But worst of all is that this is what this thread wuz about....I expected it to be about that T.I vs TIP promo tour where he wuz talkin shyt to himself durin interviews...or better yet the time he saved dude from jumpin off a roof the day before his sentencing:laff:

T.I I see u bruh:salute:legend status

Outside of a Southern rapper who had releases in the 90's, this was the first 00's album made by a Southern rapper that I enjoyed all the way through.

I'm still certain that song was one to get us talking (obviously), and if we had to pin it on someones head, Tip probably intended Wayne. But not on a real diss.

At the time and to this day I thought/think it was (at least in large part) aimed at Wayne...i think there was some animosity there back then between the two off the strength that they were the two rising powers in the South...and maybe some personal shyt that we aren't completely privy too...they seemed to be throwing lil sublimes back and forth at time...and the fact that he named just about every prominent southern rapper making significant noise at the time but wayne kinda speaks volumes considering the song was called I'm Talking to You...i'd be hard pressed to accept that Wayne just so happened to slip his mind, it'd be a pretty big inadvertent omission...wayne rapping over the What You Know Bout That beat on D2 and putting that "I don't chase them like you do...I keep a bad bytch skating like New-New" line always seemed to me to be some allusion to Tip trying to get at Lauren London during the ATL movie filming while at the same time that was one of Wayne's old pieces that he had been smashing for years prior at that point...knowing rap nikkas and nikkas in general, bytches are using at the root of uneasiness towards each other...I also remember Tip saying something to the effect of "I'm gonna teach nikkas how to rap over a Mannie Fresh beat" on Top Back...which could be definitely be seen as a shot..and of course that king/palace line on Best Rapper Alive....but then their BMs became something of BFFs (Tiny and Toya) and their kids started having sleepovers and shyt together and think all of that was squashed and they became homies
